WEIQ at Café Cul de Sac in Stockholm
A Moment with a Client
We sat down with one of our clients and talked about their experience using WEIQ as an ordering app at the immensely popular Café Cul de Sac in Stockholm.
Cul de Sac means dead end, and the summer restaurant owned and operated by Louise Fägerblad is beautifully located right on the water in Gröndalshamnen with a view of Reimersholme.
On the menu, you'll find salads, pies, gazpacho, and delicious sandwiches. Café Cul de Sac is only open during the summer months, June-August, so it's especially important to be able to handle the large flow of guests.
When the sun shines, the line outside their food truck snakes long, and Louise would rather their guests sit and enjoy the beautiful weather with their friends than stand in line.
Using order app WEIQ Can she instead let guests sit down and order from their phones. The orders will then appear on a tablet for Louise and her colleagues inside, and when the food or drink is ready, the guest will receive a notification on their phone.
In addition to shortening queues, the app has had several advantages.
This has led to more people choosing to order an extra glass because they don't have to leave their company to stand in line.
Additionally, it has improved collaboration in the kitchen and made it easy to update the menu if something runs out or is added.
"It’s worked very well. The customers appreciate the app and, above all, that they don't have to stand in line," says Louise. "Some customers like to come up and talk to us at the counter and were a little worried about losing that contact, but they still come up and talk to us when they pick up their orders.".
During the summer of 2020, there was extra high pressure as many people stayed in Sweden instead of traveling abroad. With WEIQ, guests also avoided crowding in queues, could maintain better distance from each other, and reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19.
