To connect a bong printer via WEIQ, proceed as follows:

Via Bluetooth

1. Start the printer and turn on Bluetooth on the tablet in Settings → Connections.
2. Pair the printer in the tablet settings (e.g. “mC-Print2-...”).
3. Open the app WEIQ Hub → Settings → Enable “Bong printer” → “Add”. Select the printer when it appears.
4. Click “Configure” and set whether you want to print all orders or only certain categories. Do a test print to verify that it works.

Via network (LAN/Ethernet)

1. Connect the printer with LAN cable and make sure the tablet is connected to the same network.
2. In WEIQ Hub, select “Add Printer → Advanced” and enter the IP address if the printer is not found automatically. (The IP address can be retrieved by holding down the feed button on the printer while turning it on.)
3. If it doesn't work, check that both the printer and the tablet are on the same network and that the model is supported.

If the menu is not visible or is closed for in-app orders:

• For a menu to be open to guests, at least one menu must be visible and one serving method must be activated. (Applies to the guest app only.)
• You can choose the visibility of the menu manually or time it via WEIQ Admin → Menus → select menu → opening hours or visibility.
• Check that serving modes are enabled via WEIQ Admin → Settings → Serving methods or in WEIQ Hub on the tablet under “Enable/Disable”.

One serving method is a way or channel through which guests and staff can place and receive orders with you, optionally “Table service”, “Pick-up” or “Take-away”.
This affects how the orders are entered into the pad and whether the staff should serve to a table, or whether the guests come and pick up themselves.
When using WEIQ, at least one serving method needs to be active for guests to be able to order and staff to be able to charge at the terminal.

When you use WEIQ for sales, you need to follow the rules for cash registers and control units:

• Each restaurant has at least one control unit, and on each control unit cash registers are reported, one per mobile device terminal/Tap2Pay/Online.
• Log in to the Swedish Tax Agency's website with BankID and follow the guide below to register the control unit and cash register.

Here is the difference between “product” and “option” in WEIQ:

• Product: The main item itself that the guest or staff puts in, for example a dish, drink or dessert.
• Optional extras: Extra options linked to a product, e.g. “extra cheese”, “switch protein” or “soft drink”.
• Optional group: The group in which the options are put, e.g. “some changes:”. Optional groups can be made mandatory if needed.
• PricingOptional extras are priced separately and added to the price of the product (e.g. pizza 100 kr + extra cheese 10 kr = 110 kr).

In short: a product is the main object and an option is something the customer can add or change to the product.
