FiskarFänget Sold 20% More – Right During Corona
The fish restaurant in Norrland reduced crowding with WEIQ
Roger Edlund runs the restaurant FiskarFänget on the High Coast between Härnösand and Örnsköldsvik. It is located in a boathouse right by the harbor and depends on successful sales during the summer months to stay afloat.
The summer of 2020 was marked by Corona, and many tourists stayed away. Additionally, the Public Health Agency required the restaurant to maintain distance between tables and offer table service.
It wouldn't have been possible to do it the old-fashioned way, so Roger Edlund thought outside the box.
- I went out and Googled to see if there wasn't a ready-made solution so we could serve with an app, just like Pinchos does.
After some research, he settled on WEIQ, which helped him get started.
Roger didn't have high hopes of the restaurant turning a profit during a summer marked by restrictions and a lack of tourism, but he was pleasantly surprised.
After the summer, he contacted WEIQ to thank them:
