A few years later, Poké Maniac has established itself as a natural oasis in Trelleborg for all lovers of Japanese cuisine. With many years as sushi chefs, there was no doubt that they could create fantastic dishes, and it was time to let their entrepreneurial spirit run free.
"We have many regulars and interest in Poké Bowls, in particular, has grown a lot in recent years," says Viktor.
30% orders from Take-Away via WEIQ
The restaurant isn't large, but the flow of customers coming in and out the door is high. To avoid long lines and be able to serve more guests during lunch, Viktor and Patrik decided to try WEIQ.
Compared to the major delivery apps, WEIQ is a table service and takeaway app with minimal transaction fees.
Guests can now calmly choose from the menu in the app and will receive a notification on their phone when their order is ready for pickup.
They have been very active on social media, informing guests that they can use the app, sometimes with extra offers for motivation.
– We believed it would simplify the flow inside the restaurant and speed up the process for us behind the counter who both took and prepared orders, says Viktor. What we didn't expect was that we would get significantly more orders with, for example, extra avocado or an extra drink when our guests use WEIQ.
Viktor believes that guests often want to be able to customize their order, but that the pace of a long line is a bit too high to stop and think. When ordering through the app, you can go through all the options and consider them before clicking order.
Many companies bear witness that app-based solutions increase the average order value, and it seems that this also applies to take-away and Poké Maniac.

Poké Maniac uses WEIQ together with their POS solution Onslip. WEIQ works with all POS systems, and has extra support for integration into Onslip's POS.
This means the menus are synced between the point of sale and the app, and all orders appear directly in their regular point of sale.
