Starting January 1, 2027, cash registers covered by the new requirements in SKVFS 2021:17 must be able to generate records from the journal memory in XML format. For restaurants, this primarily means that the cash register system must be able to provide structured data when needed – not that you have to submit an XML file every day. The transitional rule for older cash registers applies through December 31, 2026. WEIQ complies with the requirements and will be ready with the new XML export when the rules fully take effect.
