A moment with a client
Michael Egly has worked in the restaurant industry for practically his entire life, in various roles.
Today, he runs two restaurants in the beautiful Skanör harbor in Skåne, Swimsuit and The pier.
Badhytten is a restaurant right on the beach that offers high quality food, service, and entertainment. After three successful seasons, Michael Egly decided to expand and opened Bryggan during the summer of 2020, just a stone's throw away.
The pier is a relaxed place where guests can come directly from their swim and sit on our outdoor terrace for a delicious pizza, a glass of rosé, or a cup of coffee.

When Michel planned the opening of Bryggan, he saw a challenge in achieving profitability with a traditional approach that requires a lot of staff and can have long seatings. He wanted to be able to serve quickly and efficiently, without compromising on service.
– We ran into WEIQ and invited them for a chat. We fell in love with the fast, sleek design from the get-go. It was time for an old guy like me to jump on the new thing.
In the beginning, Michael was worried about how an app-based ordering solution would be received by guests, but was overwhelmed by the positive response.
WEIQ has been super smooth for us. Over an entire evening, maybe five people have found it difficult. When we've helped them, it's turned out positively anyway.
The staff at Bryggan also liked using WEIQ. They adopted it right away, which saved a lot of administration since everything was handled automatically.
I can say that when *I* understand the system and think it's easy, then it *is* easy.
Instead of presenting the menu and taking orders, they could take on a maître d' role, welcoming guests and explaining how they could place orders using the app.
Thanks to the app not requiring registration, it was also quick for guests to get started and place orders as soon as they found what they wanted on the menu.
- I see that WEIQ would absolutely work in many places. There are classic restaurants where you expect something else, where you might have to talk about products and things. But in many places - absolutely!
